Lucien Voulzy (French pronunciation: [lysjɛ̃ vulzi], born 18 December 1948), better known as Laurent Voulzy ([loʁɑ̃ vulzi]), is a Frenchsinger and composer.

Life and career
Voulzy was born in Paris, France. He originally led the English-pop-influenced Le Temple de Vénus before joining Pascal Danel as guitarist from 1969 to 1974. However, he is best known for his collaborative songwriting efforts with singer/songwriter Alain Souchon and his solo singing career, which spanned several successful albums.
Voulzy had an international hit with the song Rockollection. The French lyrics were interspersed with some lines from classic rock hits after the chorus. His major French hits also include 'Le Soleil Donne' – sung in French, English and Spanish – and 'Les Nuits Sans Kim Wilde' ('Nights without Kim Wilde'), inspired by the chart-topping English singer.
In 2005, Voulzy co-produced and co-composed Nolwenn Leroy's second album Histoires Naturelles.
Voulzy had a huge hit with his album La Septième Vague which reached number one in 2006. Featured on the album is a cover of the Everly Brothers hit 'All I Have to Do Is Dream', recorded as a duet with Irish singer Andrea Corr. The song was released as a single and was also included on The Corrs' greatest hits album Dreams: The Ultimate Corrs Collection.

Again is the Alan Stivell's seventeenth album released in 1993 under the Keltia III label by Disques Dreyfus and Sony Music in France. He registers again his greatest successes of the seventies with updated arrangements and help of prestigious guests : Kate Bush, Shane MacGowan from the Irish group The Pogues, the Senegal singer Doudou Ndiaye Rose, the French singers Laurent Voulzy and Breton singers Gilles Servat and Yann-Fañch Kemener.
The album, several times golden record with more than 300.000 sold copies, boosts the interest for the Celtic music, the base for a new wave of his popularity, especially in Brittany and in France. The public immediately acclaimed the album and Stivell during his French tour, with two concerts at the Bataclan, Paris, in January 1994. That is when the Héritage des Celtes of his former guitarist Dan ar Braz is going to arouse the craze of the general public.

It provided two successful singles in France : 'Foule sentimentale' (#1) and 'L'Amour à la machine' (#21). Histoires Naturelles (album)Histoires Naturelles is Nolwenn Leroy's second album. It was released on 5 December 2005 in France. Most of the songs were written by the French singer Laurent Voulzy and Nolwenn Leroy herself. The title track was written in English by Yasmin Shah and Arnaud Rosenthal, and 'Mélusine' by Yasmin Shah. 'London Fantasy' was co-written by members of English down-tempo band Sundae Club. Leroy adapted all the English-language lyrics into French.
The album reached #3 on the French charts soon after its release and has achieved platinum status. The first single from 'Histoires Naturelles', 'Nolwenn Ohwo!', reached #1 and the second extract 'Histoire Naturelle' was #30. The third single released was 'Mon Ange'; it managed to peak at #14 on the French Download Singles Chart. 'J'aimais Tant L'Aimer' was only a promotional single.
